Is it free to browse OpsWiss?

Yes, completely free. Browsing listings, reading guides, and using the search function are all free with no account required. OpsWiss is funded by optional paid tiers for businesses that want enhanced placement.

How do I claim my business listing?

Accepted Answer

Use the contact form and select "Claim my business listing" as the subject. Include the URL of your listing and your relationship to the business. We verify ownership via a callback or official email domain and then give you access to update your listing details.

How do paid listings work?

Paid tiers (Featured at CHF 39/month, Premium at CHF 99/month, Sponsored at CHF 249/month) offer priority placement, verified badges, and enhanced profiles. Free listings are still included but appear below paid listings in category results. See the Pricing page for a full feature comparison.

How are listings verified?

Each listing is verified by our team via a combination of: checking the business website, calling the phone number, and (for physical locations) confirming the address via Google Maps and in-person visits for priority listings. We also check that the business has English-speaking staff or English-language services.

Why is OpsWiss only in English?

Switzerland has excellent local resources in German, French, Italian, and Romansh. What it lacks is a single, authoritative English-language reference for the administrative layer of Swiss life. OpsWiss fills that gap specifically for expats, tourists, and digital nomads who primarily operate in English.

How is currency displayed?

All prices are stored in CHF and displayed in your selected currency at the current exchange rate. You can switch currency using the selector in the site header. Your choice is saved in a cookie — never in the URL, so your search rankings stay clean. Exchange rates are refreshed daily from the European Central Bank.

How do I submit a new listing?

Visit the Submit a Listing page and fill in the form. Free listings are reviewed within 5–7 business days. If approved, you'll receive a confirmation email with the URL of your published listing. Paid listings are reviewed within 1–2 business days.

How do I update my listing?

Accepted Answer

Contact us via the contact form or email hello@opswiss.com with the updated information. We process update requests within 2 business days. Business owners with a paid plan can request direct editing access.

Does OpsWiss have a mobile app?

Not yet. OpsWiss is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can add it to your home screen on iOS and Android for app-like access. A native app is on the roadmap for a future phase.

How do I report inaccurate information?

Use the contact form and select "Report inaccurate listing". Include the listing URL and what specifically is wrong. We investigate and correct within 48 hours for factual errors, 5 days for other updates.

Do you accept advertising?

We offer Sponsored listings (CHF 249/month) which appear with a "Sponsored" label at the top of relevant category pages. We do not accept display advertising, banner ads, or content that isn't clearly labelled as commercial. Editorial listings are never paid for — only placement priority is.

How do you handle reviews?

OpsWiss does not currently publish user reviews. Our editorial team provides the quality signal instead of crowd-sourced ratings. User reviews are planned for Phase 2 of the platform.

Is OpsWiss affiliated with any Swiss tourism office?

No. OpsWiss is an independent project with no affiliation to Schweiz Tourismus, cantonal tourism offices, or any government body. We are not sponsored by or affiliated with any of the businesses we list.
