Why Cowork in Zurich Instead of a Café?
Zurich's cafés are lovely, but they're not designed for a full work day. Most have limited power outlets, variable Wi-Fi (or none), and a social norm against sitting for hours over one coffee. Talent Garden's Zurich campus (the only Swiss location of the European network) is in Zurich West, walking distance from the main train station. It's a larger space with a sharper tech focus — you'll find developers, UX designers, and growth marketers here. The community events lean digital: product demos, hackathons, AI roundtables.
What we noticed: Meeting rooms are excellent and bookable by the hour. The main workspace gets loud in the afternoons. The rooftop terrace is worth fighting for in summer.

Best for: Research, academic, and deep-tech founders
Located on the ETH Zurich campus (Hönggerberg), The Space is embedded in Switzerland's top technical university. The community is heavy on deep tech, cleantech, and life sciences. If your work intersects with academic research or you're spinning out of ETH, this is the obvious choice.

What to Look for When Choosing
Internet: Ask for a speed test result, not the marketing claim. Anything below 100 Mbps symmetric will frustrate you on video calls.
Noise levels: Visit during peak hours (10 AM–2 PM on a Tuesday). What seems quiet at 9 AM on a Friday morning is a different environment midweek.
Community fit: Spend half a day before committing to a monthly membership. Most spaces offer free or low-cost day passes.
Commute: Swiss public transport is so good that commuting 20 minutes to the right space beats settling for a mediocre one around the corner.
